What is Spravato?
Spravato is an FDA approved nasal spray used alongside an oral antidepressant for adults with treatment-resistant depression. Treatments are always in clinic, monitored, and by appointment only.
What to expect during Spravato treatment.

Before Treatment. You meet with your provider for evaluation and to confirm if Spravato is appropriate.
2.
During Treatment. Self-administered in the office, then relax in a private space while our team monitors you.
3.
After Treatment. Observation for at least two hours. Plan a ride home. No driving until the next day after restful sleep.

Spravato® (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression. It works differently from traditional antidepressants and may be used alone or as part of an individualized treatment plan. Spravato® is administered in a certified healthcare setting under the supervision of a healthcare provider, with monitoring after each treatment.
Spravato® may be appropriate for certain adults with depression, including those who have not had an adequate response to other antidepressant treatments. At SHEI Wellness, your first step is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to review your symptoms, treatment history, medical history, and individual needs to determine whether Spravato® may be appropriate for you.
Spravato® is self-administered as a nasal spray under the supervision of our clinical team. After receiving your dose, you’ll relax in a comfortable treatment space while we monitor you, including your blood pressure and overall response to treatment.
You will be monitored at SHEI Wellness for at least two hours after each treatment. Before you leave, your healthcare provider will assess you to make sure you are clinically stable and ready for discharge.
Answer:
No. You will need to arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home after every Spravato® treatment. You should not drive, operate machinery, or perform activities requiring full alertness until the following day after a restful sleep.
